The treatment
and disposal of domestic wastewater from the Arbor Mobile Home Park is regulated by Waste
Discharge Requirements Order R5-2003-0099.
Based on the information submitted, two 1,000 pound sand filters and a 750 gallon storage
tank will be added to the existing wastewater treatment facility. The sand filters are designed
to provide additional treatment/filtration of domestic wastewater prior to discharge into the
facility's seepage pits. The 750 gallon storage tank will be used to back-flush the sand filters.
Back-flush water from the filters will either be discharged to the existing sludge storage tank
and incorporated back into the treatment facility, or hauled off-site for disposal at an approved
facility.
Because the proposed project is not anticipated to cause an increase in flow beyond the
permitted flow limit, Order R5-2003-0099 does not need to be revised at this time.
Upon completion of the proposed project,.please submit a letter to staff certifying that the
project is complete. Additionally, if back-flush water will be disposed of off-site, the letter shall
state the name of the permitted facility where the back-flush water will be disposed of.
If you have any questions regarding this letter, please contact Brendan Kenny
at (916) 464-4635.
STEVE E.
