t J 3 1percwater Pure Gentui December 21, 2009 Brendan Kenny Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board 11020 Sun Center Drive,#200 Ranco Cordova, CA 95670-6114 Dear Mr. Kenny, On the evening of Friday, December I e there was an overflow of the collection system at the Arbor Mobile Home Park in Acampo,CA. Following is a description of the events that took place and what steps were taken to resolve the issue. At 4:02 p.m.the park manager was notified of a sewer back-up at space#72. The manager notified me of the problem at 4:07 p.m_ The influent lift station was empty with minimal flow entering it,indicating a plugged collection system line. Richards Pumping was called out to hydro-jet the line. At approximately 4:30 p.m.the blockage in the line broke free and flowed to the influent lift station,stopping the overflow. Richards Pumping arrived at approximately 5:00 p.m. and hydro-jetted the line from the lateral at space #72 into the collection system main line toward the influent pump station. A large amount of grease was removed from the influent wetwell. The overflow at space#72 flowed into the storm drain gutter which drains into the on-site storm water retention pond. The area around space#72 was washed down and the storm line was flushed with potable water in an attempt to dean the sewage from the storm line. A pump was set up at the outlet of the storm water line into the retention pond to return the water from the storm drain line to the treatment plant lift station. No sampling of the storm water line was done. Based on the average daily flow of sewage into the treatment plant,less than 600 gallons was spilled. OES was notified on Monday the 21 d(OES 09-8491). A message was left for San Joaquin EHD, also on the 21'x.
