4. <br /> System Design Description page 2 <br /> 24 inches in diameter. Cement risers above these lids(sealed at the top of the tank) <br /> provide access for pump servicing. A traffic rated reinforced concrete slab will be placed <br /> over the dosing tanks. The tanks are manufactured by P&L Concrete Products,Escalon, <br /> CA. A catalogue cut sheet for the 1900 gallon pre-cast septic tank is attached. These <br /> tanks will accumulate solids and will require periodic pumping. The frequency will <br /> depend on usage and will be inspected semi-annually. The tanks will be connected with a <br /> 6 inch pipe(ABS or PVC SDR35)to allow the tanks to act as one tank. <br /> Dosing Pumps and Controls <br /> One dosing pump, Grunfos Model#SE40 with the flow capability of 10 gallons per <br /> minute at 20 feet of head will be set in each dosing tank. The exact time per hour will be <br /> determined based on system flow. Control float switches will be utilized to stop the <br /> pumps at the low level, the high level override float will allow the pumps to continue to <br /> pump should the waste water flow increase to the dosing tank over a short period of time. <br /> The high level alarm float will provide a visual and audible alarm that the level in the <br /> �. dosing tank has exceeded the high level pump override setting. These floats will be <br /> attached to one discharge pipe from a dosing pump. The low level cut out float will <br /> actuate 24 inches above the bottom of the tank. The high level override float will actuate <br /> ,r at 50 inches from the bottom of the tank and the high level alarm float will be activate at <br /> 55 inches above the bottom of the tank. SJE Pump Master SPDT pump switches will be <br /> utilized. The floats will be attached to the discharge pipe in accordance with figure C on <br /> the attached catalogue cut sheet for the pump switches. The dosing pump head capacity <br /> diagram and specification sheet is also attached. The electrical diagram for the dosing <br /> pump circuit is attached. <br /> Piping <br /> All gravity piping will be 4 inch ABS piping or PVC SDR35 sewer pipe. All pressure <br /> and filter bed piping will be PVC Schedule 40 piping <br /> MicroSeptec Treatment Unit EnviroServer ES25 <br /> One MicroSeptec EnviroServer ES25 will be used. This unit is capable of processing up <br /> to 2500 gallons per day. The estimated daily flow of waste water is 1700 gallons per day. <br /> Refer to Figure 1 for location of components in EnviroServer. Wastewater influent is <br /> gravity fed into the first compartment(Primary Clarifier). In the first chamber, settling of <br /> +•• the sludge and solids occurs. The primary clarified wastewater overflows into the second <br /> compartment(First Aerated Compartment). In the second compartment the wastewater is <br /> aerated using a high-efficiency low-pressure air compressor and a membrane air diffuser <br /> assembly.
