INTRODUCTION <br /> Our office was contracted by Mr. Jadi Singh to conduct a sewage disposal'feasability and soil <br /> suitability study for a proposed gas station and convenience store_to be located at 26485 N. <br /> Thornton Road, Thornton,'California(Plate 1). The San Joaquin County Site Approval <br /> application number is PA 02-247. <br /> The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department provided their requirements for the <br /> project in a memo dated July 9, 2002 to the San Joaquin County-Community Development <br /> Department. This primarily addresses the waste water treatment plant study mentioned in <br /> requirement"A" of the memo. In addition, we contacted the California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board to discuss discharge requirements as mentioned in Requirement"B"of the memo. <br /> 1.1 Scope of Work <br /> The initial scope of work included.conducting a series`of percolation tests and infiltration tests <br /> within the proposed sewage disposal field to determine weather the percolation rate of the soils <br /> were satisfactory and to determine the size of the sewage disposal field.
