<br /> ' Discussion On August 23, 2002, ATC Associates, Incorporated (ATC) personnel gauged,purged and sampled 8 groundwater monitor
<br /> wells (Figures 1 and 2) Depth to groundwater ranged between 17 41 (MW-7) to 19 08 (MW-3) feet below ground surface(bgs) The
<br /> direction of groundwater flows north-northwesterly with a calculated hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 004 ft/ft (Figure 2) No
<br /> measurable phase-separated hydrocarbons (PSH) were recorded during this monitoring event Groundwater elevations and contours are
<br /> ' illustrated on Figure 2 and groundwater monitor data is presented in Table 1
<br /> On August 23, 2002, ATC collected groundwater samples from 8 monitoring wells ATC utilized the attached sampling procedures
<br /> ' described in Appendix A to collect groundwater samples from MW-1, MW-2,MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, and MW-8 Field
<br /> logs are also included in Appendix A Groundwater samples collected were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons characterized as
<br /> gasoline(TPHg),benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene, and total xylenes(BTEX), fuel oxygenates methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE),di-isopropyl
<br /> ether (DIPS), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), and tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), fuel additives 1,2-
<br /> dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB) by EPA Test Method 8260, and methanol and ethanol by EPA Test Method
<br /> 801513 TPHg concentrations above the laboratory detection limit of 50 micrograms per liter (Rg/L) was reported in 4 of the 8 wells
<br /> sampled this quarter A benzene concentration above the laboratory detection hent of 0 50 mg/L was reported in one of the eight wells
<br /> sampled this quarter The highest TPHg and benzene concentrations reported were 2,500 and 2 0 gg/L from wells MW-5 and MW-I,
<br /> ' respectively No MTBE, DIPE, ETRE, TAME, TBA, 1,2-DCA, EDB, methanol, or ethanol concentrations were reported above their
<br /> respective laboratory detection limits in any of the 8 wells sampled during this monitoring event TPHg, benzene, and MTBE
<br /> concentrations are illustrated on Figure 2 and historic groundwater analytical results are presented in Table 1 Groundwater analytical
<br /> results for fuel oxygenate and additives are presented in Table 2 Hydrographs of groundwater elevations and analytical data are attached
