Approximate Depth to Groundwater 13 60 to 15 00 (Measured Feet
'. I Groundwater Gradient 0 004 fUft (Magnitude)
Groundwater Flow Direction - Northwester] Direction
' Discussion On May 2, 2002, ATC Associates, Incorporated (ATC) personnel gauged 8 groundwater monitor wells (Figure 1 and 2)
Depth to groundwater ranged between 13 60 (MW 7)to 15 00 (MW-3) feet below ground surface(bgs) The direction of groundwater
flows northwesterly with a calculated hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 004 fl/ft (Figure 2) No measurable phase-separated
hydrocarbons (PSH) were recorded during this monitoring event Groundwater elevations and contours are illustrated on Figure 2 and
groundwater monitor data is presented in Table 1
On May 2,2002,ATC collected groundwater samples from 8 monitoring wells ATC utilized the attached sampling procedures desenbed
' in Appendix A to collect groundwater samples from MW-1,MW-2,MW-3,MW-4,MW-5,MW-6,MW-7,and MW-8 Field logs are also
included in Appendix A Groundwater samples collected were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons characterized as gasoline
(TPHg), benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes (BTEX), fuel oxygenates methyl tert-butyl ether(MTBE), di-isopropyl ether
(DIPE), ethyl tert-butyl ether (ETBE), tert-amyl methyl ether (TAME), and tert-butyl alcohol (TBA), fuel additives 1,2-dichloroethane
' (1,2-DCA)and 1,2-dibromoethane(EDB)by EPA Test Method 8260,and methanol and ethanol by EPA Test Method 8015E The highest
TPHg, benzene, and MT13E concentrations reported were 12,000, 6 4, and 14 micrograms per liter (µg/l,), respectively The highest
TPHg concentration was reported in MW-5, the highest benzene concentration was reported in MW-1, and the highest MTBE
' concentration was reported in MW-6 TBA was reported above the laboratory detection limits in one well(MW-3)at a concentration of
6 9 µg/L No DIPE, ETBE,TAME, 1,2-DCA, EDB,methanol,or ethanol concentrations were reported above their respective laboratory
detection linuts in any of the 8 wells sampled dung this monitoring event TPHg,benzene, and MTBE concentrations are illustrated on
Figure 2 andI historic, groundwater analytical results are presented in Table 1 Groundwater analytical results for fuel oxygenate and
additives are presented in Table 2 Hydrographs of groundwater elevations and analytical data are attached in Appendix B and complete
laboratory analytical results and chain-of-custody documentation are attached in Appendix C
Recommendations Continue quarterly groundwater momtonng, sampling, and reporting
