INTRODUCTION <br /> E-Z Serve of California (E-Z Serve) has prepared this work plan to described the <br /> task proposed to evaluate soil and ground water hydrocarbon contamination at E-Z Serve <br /> Location#100878, 1012 West Yosemite Avenue, Manteca, San Joaquin County, California. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is located in San Joaquin County, Section 5, Township 2 South, Range 7 <br /> East, California. The site location is depicted on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate P-1). The <br /> site contained three 10,000 gallon steel underground storage tanks installed in 1970. On <br /> July 13, 1989 the tank containing regular leaded gasoline failed a tank test. The station <br /> closed in August, therefore, no further tank testing was performed. The tanks and lines <br /> were removed in December 1989 Three monitoring wells were installed by Associated Soils <br /> Analysis on January 21, 1991. Details are included in a previously submitted report dated <br /> April 1, 1991 <br /> I <br /> LOCAL HYDROGEOLOGY <br /> The site area is underlain by alluvial fan deposits of the Great Valley and are of <br /> I <br /> Recent age These sediments consist of unconsolidated clay, silt,,and sand The topographic <br /> surface is nearly flat' with a; slight westward slope.
