• 6ETTLER - RYAN INC. <br /> LIMITED SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION REPORT <br /> at <br /> Chevron Service Station #9-1848 <br /> 1257 Yosemite Avenue <br /> Manteca, California <br /> Report No 6392 01-3 <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> This report summarizes the results of a limited subsurface investigation performed by Gettler- <br /> Ryan Inc (GR) at the subject site (Figure 1) The work was performed at the request of <br /> Chevron Products Company (Chevron) to further define soil and groundwater conditions beneath <br /> the subject site The scope of work performed included obtaining the necessary soil boring <br /> permits from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS), advancing four off-site <br /> soil borings using a GeoProbe®, collecting soil and grab groundwater samples for chemical <br /> analysis, and preparing this report This work was proposed in GR's Report No 6392 01-2, <br /> Work Plan For A Limited Subsurface Investigation, dated June 26, 1997 <br /> SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> The site is an active service station located north of State Route 120 (Yosemite Avenue) in <br /> Manteca, California The current facilities consist of a station building, two dispenser islands, <br /> and three underground storage tanks (USTs) that share a common pit near the northeast <br /> boundary of the subject site The topography in the vicinity is flat lying at an elevation of <br /> approximately 27 Leet above mean sea level (MSL) Locations of pertinent site features are <br /> shown on Figure 2 <br /> PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL WORK <br /> According to the data provided by Chevron, three gasoline USTs and one waste-oil UST were <br /> removed and the gasoline USTs were replaced as shown on Figure 2 Three groundwater <br /> monitoring wells (C-1 through C-3) were installed by GeoStrategies Inc (GSI) in July 1991 <br /> Data pertaining to the UST removal or groundwater monitoring well installation were not <br /> Navailable for inclusion in this work plan <br /> 639201-3 <br /> 6747 Sierra Court , Suite J Dublin , California 94568 (5 10 ) 551 - 7555 <br />
