PHONE 285 2400 <br /> CABLE ADDRESS TIMOIL <br /> SEATTLE e I - ^ (F i� 2 Yid I'S 0 3 6 <br /> TACOMA N I 3 - <br /> PORTLAND <br /> STOCKTONFri002 <br /> RICHMONDTo <br /> RENO 0 TIME 41L CC►ES 4 E • � 1 fI"IGPH 1' 23 <br /> TJ85 2737 WEST COMMODORE WAY SEATTLE,WA 981 99-1 233 <br /> PRODUCTS PO BOX 24447 SEATTLE WA 98124-0447 <br /> TIME TESTED ME <br /> July 27, 1994 <br /> Mr Michael Collins <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> P 0 Box 2009 <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> RE Status Report - Second Quarter 1994 <br /> Jackpot Food Mart, 1434 W Yosemite Ave , Manteca, CA (Prop Number 04-167) <br /> Dear Mr Collins, <br /> On June 20, 1994, the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental <br /> Health Division (PHS/EHD) requested that Time Oil implement quarterly status <br /> reporting until cleanup of the above-referenced property has been achieved <br /> Accordingly, this letter is intended to satisfy Article 5, Section 2652 of the <br /> California Underground Storage Tank Regulations requirement for quarterly status <br /> reporting <br />• For your convenience, a summary of previous site activities conducted from April <br /> f 1992 through July 1994 is included as Attachment 1 <br /> Recent Site Activities <br /> In June 1994, Time Oil forwarded a copy of Science and Engineering <br /> Analysis Corp 's (SEACOR) "Problem Assessment Report" to the PHS/EHD and <br /> California Regional Water Quality Control Board (CRWQCB) This report summarized <br /> site activities and contained analytical results collected during an additional <br /> site investigation initiated in December 1993 The purpose of the investigation <br /> was to further define the extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soils associated with <br /> the former tanks, and to determine if groundwater beneath the site had been <br /> impacted <br /> Results of the investigation indicated that the extent of hydrocarbon-impacted <br /> soil is well defined and remains limited to the area of the pump islands <br /> SEACOR's report recommended the installation of a vapor extraction system to <br /> address the small amount of impacted soil Time Oil concurred with this <br /> recommendation <br /> It did not appear as though groundwater beneath the site has been significantly <br /> impacted by hydrocarbons Although trace concentrations of toluene were present <br /> in a sample collected from W6, the level indicated falls far below California's <br /> primary drinking water quality standards (1,000 ppb for toluene) Accordingly, <br /> SEACOR's report did not recommend the implementation of a groundwater cleanup <br />• system Time Oil concurred with this recommendation <br />
