Applied GsoSystems 4191-E Power Inn Road,Sacramento, CA 95826 (916) 452.2901
• FREMONT • IRVINE •HOUSTON • BOSTON a SACRAMENTO • CULVER CITY • SAN JOSE
WORK PLAN
EXCAVATION AND SOIL SAMPLING
IN THE GASOLINE TANK CAVITY
at
ARCO Station 6020
1711 Yosemite Avenue
Manteca, California
® For ARCO Products Company
INTRODUCTION
At the request of ARCO Products Company(ARCO), Applied GeoSystems prepared this
0 work plan to excavate the existing and proposed gasoline tank cavities at ARCO Service
Station No. 6020 at 1711 Yosemite Avenue in Manteca, CaliforniR. The purpose of
excavating is to remove soil containing hydrocarbons. The existing gasoline tank cavity will
be excavated after the removal of three underground-storage tanks. The proposed tank
cavity will be excavated to install new underground storage tanks. Soil samples collected
® from soil borings drilled in August 1990 did not contain hydrocarbons at levels that warrant
remediation: however, this work plan is being submitted as a contingency plan in the event
that during the excavation hydrocarbons are detected at levels that warrant remediation.
F
