The safety plan is applicable to personnel of Applied <br /> GeoSystems and to subcontractors of Applied GeoSystems. The Applied GeoSystems <br /> ® geologist will act as the Site Safety Officer. Personnel at the site will be informed of the <br /> contents of the site safety plan before work begins. A copy of the plan will be kept at the <br /> work site and will be available for reference by appropriate parties during the work. <br /> Excavation of Existin Tankzvit <br /> Clt <br /> A geologist from Applied GeoSystems will be onsite to observe excavation of the soi€ from <br /> both tank cavities. Immediately following the removal of the three existing underground- <br /> storage tanks, the tank cavity will be excavated between 2 and 4 feet below the former tanks <br /> until soil containing less than 10 ppm of TPHg and less than 1.0 ppm benzene are removed. i <br /> During e%zavation, the geologist will use a PID to characterize the relative levels of <br /> hydrocarbons in the soil and note any subjective evidence of hydrocarbons such as obvious <br /> product odor and discoloration.
