Limited Subsurface Environmental Investigation October 3, 1990
'> ARCO Service Station No. 6020, Manteca, California AGS 30055-1
regional direction of flow is to the southwest. Local ground-waier characteristics could vary
® from these historical maps at the time of drilling.
The site is in the Eastern San Joaquin County Ground-Water Basin (California Department
of Water Resources, 1988). The ground-water basin has been developed for intensive
irrigation, domestic, industrial, municipal, and stock use.
PROXIMITY OF WELLS AND UTILITIES
It is our understanding from City of Manteca personnel that the city provides water and
sewer service for the site. 'There are no city water or sewer lines within the boundaries of
the site, and there are no septic tanks or leachfields near the site. We also understand there
are no municipal, domestic, or irrigation water wells within 500 feet of the site.
Numerous groundwater supply wells are farther than 500 feet from the site. Data obtained
from the California Department of Water Resources concerning these wells are presented
in Table 1, and the locations of the wells are depicted on Plate P-1. The majority of the
wells are east of the site. Some of the wells noted are probably inactive, and other wells
may exist near the site but do not appear in the records.
_...._._ - - ... ----- ------------------
--- - -- - ------ - -- - -.. ---... - - - - — - ------ -
Applied iGeosystVMS
