I 6*�a (imcon Associates <br /> 1433 North Market Boulevard •Sacramento Cohfornia 95834-1943 • (416)928-3300 • Fox(915)928-3341 <br /> i <br />' September 9, 1994 <br /> Project 0805-111 01 <br /> i <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br />' ARCO Products Company SEP 1 3 1994 <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br />' ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH <br /> PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> Re 1994 Annual Status Report for ARCO Service Station No 6020, at 1711 East <br />' Yosemite, Manteca California <br /> Dear Mr Carmel <br />' At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), EMCON Associates (EMCON) has <br /> prepared this status report on the work conducted at the subject site (see Figure 1) <br />' Results of the last groundwater sampling event was prepared during third quarter 1993 <br /> Based on a letter from San Joaquin County Public Health Services, dated December 27, <br /> 1993, sampling of the four existing wells shall be conducted once a year beginning July <br /> 1994 with semi-annual monitoring <br /> GROUNDWATER MONITORING <br />' Groundwater Technology Inc , (GTI) of Concord, California, was contracted by ARCO <br /> to conduct the field work at the site, GTI Subsequently forwarded their field notes and the <br />' laboratory reports to EMCON Field work included measuring depths to water and <br /> collecting groundwater samples for subjective and laboratory analyses EMCON used <br /> these data to evaluate the direction and gradient of groundwater flow beneath the site The <br />' locations of the monitoring wells are shown on Figure 1 <br /> On July IS 1994, a technician from GTI measured the depth to water and collected <br />' groundwater samples from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 for subjective and <br /> laboratory analyses According to their data, floating product or product sheen was not <br /> observed on samples collected from the wells (tree Table 1) <br />' Tom O Morrow Inc , Incensed land surveyor,,)yors) of West Sacramento, California. <br /> previously surveyed the monitoring well,, to provide the elevation of each wellhead <br /> relative to mean sea level EMCON used the surveyed elevation,, and the <br /> depth-to-groundwater measurements (see Table 1) to evaluate the potentiornetric surtace <br /> These data were used to construct the Potentiometric Surface Map (see Figure 2) The <br /> direction of groundwater flow was toward the north with a hydraulic gradient of 0 002 <br /> The direction of groundwater glow has generally been north since the investigation began <br /> ,,AC/pj(N )811 1Rr151110 fins-94 mlin 5 <br />
