i <br /> NA <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> 3164 Gold Camp Drive,Suite 200 <br /> Rancho Cordova,CA 95670 <br /> Phone (916) 852-6690 <br /> FAX (916) 852-6688 <br /> June 9, 1993 <br /> Mr Chuck Carmel <br /> ARCO Products Company <br /> P O Box 5811 <br /> San Mateo, California 94402 <br /> Subject Status Report, First Quarter 1993, ARCO Service Station No 6020, 1711 East <br /> Yosemite, Manteca, California <br /> Mr. Carmel <br /> At the request of ARCO Products Company (ARCO), RESNA Industries (RESNA) has <br /> prepared this status report summarizing work conducted during the first quarter 1993 at the <br /> subject site (shown on Plate 1) Work consisted of ground-water monitonng Emcon <br /> Associates (Emcon) of Sacramento, California, was contracted by ARCO to conduct the <br /> field work at the site, Emcon subsequently forwarded their field notes and the laboratory <br /> reports to RESNA Field work included measunng depths to water and collecting ground- <br /> water samples for subjective and laboratory analyses. RESNA is also measuring depths to <br /> water and conducting subjective analyses of ground water on months in between quarterly <br /> ground-water monitoring events for four months RESNA used these data to evaluate the <br /> direction and gradient of groundwater flow beneath the site The locations of the <br /> monitoring wells are shown on Plate 2. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> According to information supplied by ARCO, there are two 12,000-gallon gasoline-storage <br /> tanks and one 10,000-gallon gasoline-storage tank at the site In August 1990, RESNA <br /> drilled seven soil borings around the underground storage tanks and the proposed tank <br /> cavity to evaluate soil for hydrocarbons (Applied GeoSystems, October 3 1990) RESNA <br /> was onsite November 18 through 21, 1992, to observe drilling of six soil borings and <br /> construction of four groundwater monitoring wells The approximate locations of the <br /> monitoring wells and other facilities are shown on Plate 2. Water samples were collected <br /> from the wells on December 16, 1992, results of laboratory analyses indicated dissolved <br /> gasoline hydrocarbons were not detected in the samples (RESNA Industnes, Report to <br /> preparation). <br /> 0329kcbr <br /> 30055-i <br />
