i <br /> Working To Restore Nature <br /> April 15, 1983 <br /> ARCO Facility No 6020, Manteca, California <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description <br /> ARCO Service Station No 6020 is on the northeast corner of Yosemite Avenue and <br /> Highway 99 in Manteca, California, as shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 1) The <br />` property adjacent to the site at the intersection is commercial <br /> The approximate locations of present site features are shown on the Generalized Site Plan <br /> (Plate 2) According to information supplied by ARCO, there are two 12,000-gallon <br /> gasoline-storage tanks and one 10,000-gallon gasoline-storage tank at the site These tanks <br /> contain super unleaded gasoline and unleaded gasoline <br /> Water-Supply Wells <br /> Numerous ground-water supply wells are farther than 500 feet from the site Data obtained <br /> from public records kept at the California Department of Water Resources concerning these <br /> wells are presented in Table 1, and the locations of the wells are depicted on Plate 1 The <br /> majority of the wells are east of the site Some of the wells noted are probably inactive, and <br /> other wells may exist near the site but do not appear in the records <br /> Previous Work <br /> During August 1990, RESNA (formerly Applied Geosystems), conducted a limited <br /> environmental investigation that included drilling seven soil borings (13-1 through B-7) <br /> around the underground storage tanks and the proposed tank cavity to evaluate whether <br /> 3ooss-s <br /> 2 <br />
