Ground Water Sampling <br /> • U Remarks section to identify potential hazards or to relay other information <br /> to the laboratory <br />' 2.6.5 Sample Analysis Request Sheet <br />' This document should accompany the sample(s)on delivery to the laboratory and <br /> clearly identify which sample containers have been designated for each requested <br /> parameter It may be included in the chain-of-custody record Addition of <br /> preservatives should also be noted This document should include the following <br /> types of information <br /> O Name of person receiving the sample, <br /> O Name and addresses of analytical laboratory, <br /> U Laboratory sample number(if different from field number), <br /> o Date of sample receipt, <br /> o Analyses to be performed, <br /> U Internal temperature of shipping container upon opening in the laboratory, <br /> and <br />�• O Preservatives added in the field <br /> 2.66 Laboratory Logbook <br /> Once the sample has been received in the laboratory,the sample custodian and/or <br /> laboratory personnel should clearly document the processing steps that are applied <br /> to the sample All sample preparation techniques and instrumental methods used <br /> should be identified in the logbook Experimental conditions, such as the use of <br /> specific reagents, temperatures, reaction times, and instrument settings, should be <br /> noted The results of the analyses of all laboratory quality control samples should <br /> be identified, specific to each batch of ground-water samples analyzed The <br /> laboratory logbook should include the time, date, and name of the person who <br /> performed each processing step <br /> 27 kmlytical Procedures <br /> The SAP should describe in detail the analytical procedures that will be used to determine <br /> the concentrations of constituents or parameters of interest These procedures should <br /> include suitable analytical methods as well as proper quality assurance and quality control <br /> protocols <br /> The SAP should identify a method that will be used for each specific parameter or target <br /> analyte that can achieve the required detection limits The following should be addressed <br /> 1 For SW-846 analytical methods, reference SW-846 and the analysis methods(by <br /> • method number), including all sample preparation methods For modified <br /> 27 <br /> 1 <br />
