UST Closure Report <br /> A13F Freight System,Inc <br /> Manteca,California Page 7 <br /> • <br /> 6.0 MATERIALS HANDLING AND DISPOSAL <br /> 6.1 Diesel Fuel <br /> Approximately 500 Gallons of diesel fuel was pumped from the UST by American Valley <br /> Environmental Services, Inc of Turlock, California and transported to Amenclean, Inc m Silver <br /> Springs, Nevada No manifests or profiling were required A copy of the liquids recycling <br /> invoice is located in Appendix 6 <br /> 6.2 Underground Storage Tank <br /> The one 10,000-gallon UST was transported by ECI of Richmond, California, from the ABF <br /> Freight, Inc facility to Enckson, Inc. in Richmond, California The UST was cleaned and then <br /> cut up for recycling as scrap steel A copy of the tank manifest and the Certificate of Disposal are <br /> included in Appendix 5 <br /> 6.3 Soil <br /> Mr Trucker of Stockton, California transported 136 57 tons of contaminated soil from the ABF <br /> Freight, Inc facility to Forward, Incorporated, a Class II certified landfill in Manteca, California f <br /> Copies of the manifests are included in Appendix 6 1 <br /> • 6.4 Groundwater <br /> American Valley Environmental Services, Inc purged 375 gallons of contaminated groundwater <br /> from the excavation after the removal of the UST The groundwater was transported to <br /> Amenciean, Inc for disposal No manifests or profiling were required A copy of the liquids <br /> recycling invoice is located in Appendix 6 <br /> 7.0 SITE RESTORATION <br /> On March 23 and 24, 1998, the excavation was backfilled Mr Trucker delivered 142.71 tons of <br /> pea gravel and 43 26 tons of sand from Teichert Aggregates, of Tracy, California The <br /> excavation was backfilled with pea gravel up to four feet below ground surface A total of 4138 <br /> tons of 3/4-inch aggregate base from Teichert Aggregates was then placed and compacted in <br /> onefoot lifts up to ground surface <br /> On May 7, 1998, a concrete slab was built over the former UST site with # 4 re-bar placed in <br /> one-foot centers A & A Concrete Supply, Inc of Sacramento, California delivered 18 cubic <br /> yards of 3,000 psi concrete to the site <br /> 11SEKVER1C-DRNEIPROJECTS\37321PIans and Reports\UST Closure Report doc May 21, 1998 <br />
