S0 JOA U 1 Environmental Health Department <br /> U ; i y <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> JACK RABBIT 1471 INDUSTRIAL AVE, RIPON JUly 31, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 301 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Facility not maintained to minimize the release of a hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following were observed in the used oil tank area: <br /> -Oil stains and used absorbent observed on the floor and surrounding area of the approximately 120 used oil tank. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A hazardous waste generator must maintain and operate its facility to minimize the <br /> possibility of a fire, explosion, or any unplanned sudden or non-sudden release of hazardous waste or hazardous <br /> waste constituents to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately clean oil stains and used absorbent from floor. Manage the waste according <br /> to Title 22 California Code of Regulations for hazardous waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department describing the storage and final disposition of the <br /> cleaned up waste. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 403 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed in the used oil tank area: <br /> -Four 5-gallon bucket with used oil observed with no lids. <br /> -One black oil pan with approximately 1 inch of used oil located on top of one 55-gallon drum of hydraulic oil. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste.
