Tha onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS) shall be designed to receive all domestic sewage <br /> end wastewater from the property. Only domestic sewage is allowed to discharge into the OWTS. <br /> No basement, footing or surface drainage or discharge from water softener, iron filter, pool filters, or <br /> water treatment systems shall ba permitted to enter any part of the OWTS. (San Joaquin County <br /> OWTS Standards 7.70.7) <br /> a. Prohibited discharges into OWTS include: automobile and garage waste, storm drainage, <br /> solvents and toxics, solitls,garbage,kitchen wastewater from restaurant or bar, air conditioners, <br /> hazardous wastes, backwash, truck terminal wastes, recreational vehicle holtling tank waste, <br /> industrial and manufacturing waste, and food processing wastes. (San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, Section 9-7710.7 and San Joaquin County OWTS t.74). <br /> 6. If floor drains era required,they must be plumbed through asand/oil separator and discharged to an <br /> above ground system approved by the Environmental Health Department. A registered engineer <br /> must design this system. Tha material collected in the above grountl holding system must ba <br /> analyzetl for hazardous constituents prior to disposal. Specific test requirements may ba obtained <br /> from the Environmental Health Department. Tha fee will ba basad on the currant schedule at the <br /> rima of payment. <br /> 7. Any geotechnical tlrilling shall ba contluctad under permit and inspection by The Environmental <br /> Health Department CSan Joaquin County Development Title, Section 9-1175.3 and 9-7775.6). <br /> B. Before any hazardous materials/waste can ba stored or used onsite,the owner/operator must report <br /> the use or storage of these hazardous materials to the California Environmental Reporting System <br /> (GFRs) at cers.caleoa.ca.gov/ and comply with the laws and regulations for the programs listed <br /> below (basad on quantity of hazardous material in some cases). Anv amount but not limited to the following hazardous waste; hazardous malarial spills, used <br /> oil, used oil filters, used oil-contaminatetl absorbenVdabris, waste antifreeze, used batteries or <br /> other universal waste,etc.—Hazardous Wastes Program(Health BSafety Code(HSC)Sections <br /> 25404 S 25780 at sac.) <br /> b. Onsite treatment of hazardous waste — Hazardous Waste Treatment Tiered Parmitting <br /> Program (HSC Sections 25404 8 25200 at sec. 8 California Code of Regulations (CCR), Title <br /> 22, Section 67450.1 at sac.) <br /> c. Reportable guantitiea of hazardous materials-reportable quantities are 55 gallons or mora of <br /> liquids, 500 pounds for solids, or 200 cubic feet for compressed gases, with some exceptions. <br /> Carbon dioxide is a regulated substance and is required to ba reported as a hazardous material <br /> if storing 7,200 cubic feat (137 pounds) or mora onsite in San Joaquin County — Hazardous <br /> Materials Business Plan Program (HSC Sections 25508 8 25500 at sac.) <br /> d. Anv amount of hazardous material stored in an Underground Storage Tank — Underground <br /> Storage Tank Program (HSC Sactlons 25286&25280 at sac.) <br /> i. If an undarg round storage tank (VST) system will ba installed, a permit is required to b¢ <br /> submitted to, and approved by, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD) before any UST installation work can begin. <br /> Ii. Additionally, an EHD UST permit to operate is required once the approved UST system is <br /> installed. <br />
