SANAIOAQU I N <br />COUNTY <br />Environmental Health Department <br />Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br />CALIFORNIA AUTOSPORT 1 180 BUTTON AVE, MANTECA October 16, 2019 <br />Documents provided during inspection: Hazardous waste labeling guidance, modified contingency plan, <br />inspection report, return to compliance certification/statement of corrective actions <br />Waste streams found: used oil, used oil filters, oily absorbent, used antifreeze, parts cleaner solution, metal <br />fines, empty containers. <br />Notes: <br />Rags are commercially laundered by Unifirst. <br />Small spills are cleaned up with shop rags. <br />Oily mop water is emptied into the hazardous waste storage. <br />The following first time minor violations were corrected on site: <br />Violation 104: No modified contingency plan <br />OBSERVATION A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br />areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br />telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and <br />the telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately post the required information at the facility. Provide a statement to the <br />San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department that the correction is complete. <br />Violation 406: Contaminated container not marked with date emptied or managed within one year of being <br />emptied <br />OBSERVATION The following empty containers were found on site: <br />-One empty black steel 55 gallon drum that previously contained antifreeze (based on the label on the drum) <br />was observed next to the pump in the back of the shop without a date emptied label. <br />-One empty blue 55 gallon drum that previously contained oil (based the product label on the drum) was <br />observed in the back of the shop without a date emptied label. <br />-One damaged empty red oil caddie was observed outside the shop next to the waste tires without a date <br />emptied label. <br />REGULATION GUIDANCE Empty containers which previously held a hazardous material, including hazardous <br />waste must be managed per Title 22 California Code of Regulations (CCR) section 66261.7. Refer to this <br />section and California Department of Toxic Substances Control guidance for more information <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: All empty containers were marked with the date they were emptied to be managed <br />within one year of that date. Corrected on site. <br />Violation 605: Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste <br />OBSERVATION Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling.
