Please see our response below and the attached exhibit in response to this issue. Your review comments
are included below, with our responses indicated in bold italics.
The proposed location of the tank does not meet minimum setback requirement of 100 feet to per Table
1.5 of Section 1.5 of the San Joaquin County Onsite Waste Treatment System (OWTS) Standards. KSN
stated in the Letter that the location meets 50 -foot set back as an "Existing, Non- Conforming OWTS".
The parcel is not a non -conforming lot, as the property is listed as a 12 -acre parcel. Please submit
revision/addendum for the location of the tank that meets minimum of 100 feet setback to waterways per
OWTS Standards.
The physical location of the site does not allow for 100 foot setbacks from all waterways. The site is located
on an island/peninsula that is surrounded by water andlor a lagoon. At its widest point, the island is only
approx. 150 feet across and is approximately 130 feet wide at the proposed tank location. The proposed tank
location exceeds the setback requirement of 100 feet from the existing water well. The proposed location of
the tank is close to the existing restroom and at a location strategically placed to allow access for pumping.
Please see the attached exhibit that shows the location of the existing well, the 100 ft setback distance from
the well, the location of the proposed holding tank, and the setbacks from waterbodies at this location.. Based
on this we request a variance of the setback requirement be granted for this project.
Corporate Office: 711 N Pershing Avenue I Stockton, CA 95203 1 209-946-0268 1 www.ksninc.com
West Sacramento: 1550 Harbor Boulevard.
