The Service Agreement with Advanced Septic Service, LLC dated October 31, 2019 scheduled
pumping frequency quarterly (April 1, June 1, August 1, October 1). However, the Plan cited 13 days
between "Time to Pump" Pumping Events (see KSN Water System Calculation). Cut -sheet for the proposed alarm (Orenco 120 VAC Liquid Level Alarm Panels) has been provided,
but there is no discussion how the alarm is to be set up. Section 10.5 of OWTS Standards requires:
Both Audible and visual alarms are required:
10.5.1 The alarms must be set to signal at the "time -to -pump" and "exceeding reserve
storage volume" levels
10.5.2 The audible and visual alarms must be located in an area 6that can be readily
seen and heard, with battery power where electrical power is not available.
Please provide additional information how the above requirements will be met.
6. Provide frequency and how the tank and alarms are to be monitored, and operational records are
maintained per Section 10.10:
Operational records must be maintained
7. Please be aware comments and agreement from Public Works is required before EHD can
consider permitting installation of the tank in lieu of an OWTS.
8. If the tank is permitted in lieu of an OWTS, in addition to the installation permit, the facility will be
placed on SJC inventory for biannual inspection, where an annual Operational Permit (Program
Element 4242) is required per Section 10.11
Please submit additional information addressing the above items to EHD as soon as possible.
