An electronic copy of the Cost Proposal is available by email attachment upon
request.
The Cost Proposal includes 6 quarters of routine quarterly groundwater monitoring of wells
onsite (monitoring, remediation) and offsite (domestic and monitoring), including the 9
domestic well water treatment systems, routine maintenance of the domestic well carbon
treatment systems, and a groundwater plume investigation for installation of 19 new
monitoring wells, to delineate the vertical and lateral extent of the contamination. Due to
Emergency, Abandoned, and Recalcitrant (EAR) Account budgetary constraints, work will
resume during the 4th quarter of 2010, and continue through the 1St quarter of 2012. Total cost
for the next six quarters of work is estimated as $315,931.00. The remaining funds available
for the life cycle of the project are $532,303.13.
Based on my review, I find the proposed costs reasonable and acceptable. Please note that
the above costs do not include monitoring and maintenancethe
with quarter
er 2012,
ure (closure
additional remediation (if deemed necessary), and costs associated
report, public participation, well abandonment) later in the project.
Please contact me by phone at (916) 464-4614 or by email atjbarton(ctwaterboards.ca.gov if
y u have questions or comments.
/James L.L.
