03' <br /> GLASS <br /> S <br /> LIFE <br /> 8.1.9 105 gallon Hydraulic Oil Reservoir for Cardboard Baler <br /> There is no dedicated secondary containment provided for the hydraulic oil reservoir for the <br /> cardboard bailer. Spill prevention measures for this oil-filled operational equipment complies with <br /> the alternative requirements per 40 CFR 112 7 (k)(2). <br /> 8.1.10 Oil Reservoir for Trash Compacter <br /> There is no dedicated secondary containment provided for the oil reservoir for the trash compacter. <br /> Spill prevention measures for this oil-filled operational equipment complies with the alternative <br /> requirements per 40 CFR 112.7 (k)(2). <br /> GHD has calculated the required containment volumes based on 110% of the total volume of the <br /> largest tank and/or the total volume of the largest tank plus a 25-year 24-hour rainfall. Containment <br /> volume and tank capacities are found in Appendix B. <br /> Culverts, Gutters, or Other Drainage- 112.7(c)(1)(iii) <br /> Drainage within the ground level of the building is engineered so that the drainage flows into an <br /> oil/water sump located in this area of the Facility. Minor spills on the upper and lower levels of the <br /> building would be cleaned up or flow to and be contained by the oil/water sump system. <br /> Weirs, Booms, or Other Barriers- 112.7(c)(1)(v) <br /> The following equipment is maintained at the Facility in the event of a release: forklifts, fire <br /> extinguishers, barricades, shovels and brooms, two-way radios, front-end loaders, and booms. <br /> Facility Process Ponds- 112.7(c)(1)(vi) <br /> There are two process ponds for process water management on-Site. The process ponds are not <br /> devoted to providing secondary containment for the oil containers. <br /> Retention Ponds- 112.7(c)(1)(vii) <br /> The Facility maintains five stormwater ponds for stormwater management on-Site. The stormwater <br /> ponds are not devoted to providing secondary containment for the oil containers. <br /> Sorbent Materials- 112.7(c)(1)(viii) <br /> The following materials are maintained at the Facility in the event of a release: booms, floor dry, <br /> absorbent socks, sponge particulate, absorbent pillows, plastic sheets to cover catch basins, and <br /> soda ash and sand. The inventories are checked monthly to replenish used materials. Adequate <br /> materials are present at the Facility and spill kits will be located in those areas where releases are <br /> likely to occur. <br /> Truck Unloading Area <br /> The Facility does not maintain a tank car loading/unloading area. Railroad tankers are not utilized <br /> to load/unload oil products at the Facility. <br /> Oil transfers at the Facility include intermittent deliveries of diesel fuel and lube oil to the ASTs and <br /> pickup of used oils. These deliveries do not occur on a daily basis. Tank trucks are utilized for these <br /> GHD I Spill Prevention;Control,and Countermeasure(SPCC)Plan 1085405 1 Page 18 <br />
