Excess EP dust is disposed as hazardous waste due to the presence of <br /> chromium, selenium, and lead. <br /> Furnace Brick <br /> • Refractory bricks are transported off-site for recycling. <br /> The plant continues to work to minimize the quantity of chemicals stored to only <br /> the amount needed on a just in time basis. <br /> 11.0 RESULTS OF SOURCE REDUCTION EFFORTS <br /> Results of source reduction efforts from the 2014 values year are summarized in <br /> Table I. Total hazardous waste generated in 2018 was 398.50 tons as compared <br /> to 80.2 tons in 2014. <br /> Percent change in each major waste stream identified from the total generated in <br /> 2014 and 2018 are shown below. <br />
