A hazardous waste generator shall not <br /> treat, store , dispose of, transport or offer for transportation , hazardous waste without an ID number . If you or your <br /> business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous <br /> waste , then you need to obtain an EPA ID number . All others must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web <br /> site http : //www. dtsc. ca . gov/ IDManifest/ PERMHWID. cfm for the form to apply for an ID number . Immediately obtain <br /> an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the EHD . <br /> Violation #102 - Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste . U OWW <br /> In the front storage area , there were twenty-nine 5 gallon black steel containers , two 5 gallon white plastic <br /> containers , three 1 gallon paint containers , two elongated 1 gallon steel containers and six 55 gallon black steel <br /> drums observed . The contents of the containers were unknown . According to the manager, the containers were <br /> waste left on site by the old owner . <br /> The manager states that any wint waste generated from the process of paining cars ( paint, clear coat , rags , etc) is <br /> of i thrown away into the trash . — G C � C vt Co \5 % <br /> ' A V rk L Q j r " mZ7 <br /> In the shop area , absorbent with fluids from a car was found on the ground . ` C-1 eav1-eck tp <br /> A parts washer was observed with a black liquid in it. The manager stated that the liquid inside was a waste left by <br /> the old owner. Immediately , make a <br /> hazardous waste determination for the waste , and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations . <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed . If the waste is deemed <br /> hazardous , send a copy of the manifest to EHD . <br /> Violation #104 - No modified contingency plan . — ���� {� 01 Ae� fbCA21 ,!jee, CY(A eJV4 PWM <br /> An emergency coordinator and modified contingency plan information is lacking . There must be at least one <br /> emergency coordinator on site or on call to coordinate emergency response measures , and the following <br /> information must be posted by a phone : the name and phone number of the emergency coordinator; location of fire <br /> extinguishers , spill control equipment, and if present , fire alarm ; and the phone number of the fire department, <br /> unless the facility has a direct alarm . Immediately appoint an emergency coordinator and post the required <br /> information by a phone . A form is provided that can be used for this purpose . Submit a statement to the EHD once <br /> this has been completed . <br /> Violation #106 - Failed to train empl ees on waste hand ing and emergency procedures <br /> The manager stated that there is no hazardous waste training currently in place . The generator must ensure that all <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste are thoroughly familiar with proper waste handling and emergency <br /> procedures . Provide proof of training to the EHD for employees whose responsibilities include hazardous waste . <br /> Violation #110 - Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years . <br /> Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste for 2018 were not found on site . The manager <br /> stated that used oil had been picked up for disposal 1 . 5 months prior to the inspection . Hazardous waste <br /> generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and all receipts used in a <br /> consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for review.
