The following is an itemized list of hazardous waste violations that have not been <br /> addressed for WORLDWIDE FLIGHT SERVICES as of October21, 2019. <br /> Open violations from September 18, 2019 inspection <br /> Violation#601 -Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br /> OBSERVATION <br /> The following containers were observed missing an accumulation start date: <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil (1/3 full) <br /> Near the west end of the facility: <br /> -One 5 gallon cardboard box containing oily debris (full) <br /> -One 30 gallon trash can containing oily debris (full) <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: <br /> A generator of less than 1,000 kilograms of hazardous waste in any calendar month who accumulates hazardous <br /> waste onsite for 180 days or less, or 270 days or less if the generator transports the generator's own waste, or <br /> offers the generator's waste for transportation, over a distance of 200 miles or more, for offsite treatment, storage, <br /> or disposal, is not a storage facility if all of the following apply: <br /> (1) The quantity of hazardous waste accumulated onsite never exceeds 6,000 kilograms. <br /> (2)The generator complies with the requirements of 40 Code of Federal Regulations section 262.34(d), (e) and (f). <br /> (3) The generator does not hold acutely hazardous waste or extremely hazardous waste in an amount greater than <br /> one kilogram for more than 90 days. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous wastes have been on site, <br /> immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest. Provide a corrective action statement and a copy of the disposal records to the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department(EHD)within 30 days. <br /> ❑ This violation was corrected ❑ This violation will be corrected by (date): <br /> ❑ Supporting documents included <br /> Describe actions taken or will be taken to correct violation: <br /> Violation #605 -Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. <br /> In the hazardous waste storage area: <br /> One black 55 gallon steel drum containing used oil (1/3 full) had a hazardous waste label missing the name and <br /> address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, and the accumulation start date. <br /> Near the west end of the facility: <br /> -One 5 gallon cardboard box containing oily debris (full)was missing a hazardous waste label. <br /> -One 30 gallon trash can containing oily debris (full)was missing a hazardous waste label. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words "Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste. Provide a corrective <br /> action statement and supporting documentation to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (EHD)within 30 days. <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br />
