Oil transfer <br /> The transfer of oil from a piece of machinery to the waste oil drum should be done with the <br /> utmost care. <br /> The transfer should be limited to the amount required to service the machinery only. <br /> All oil should being transferred from equipment into a clean used container for movement to <br /> the waste oil storage area. (Standard PPE shall be worn) <br /> The waste oil drum should be locked when you arrive and locked when you leave, no residual <br /> oil should be left on the lid or surrounding areas or the containment under the drum(extreme <br /> care should be taken when pouring from one container to another). <br /> The oil funnel should be clean and free of residual oil and debris before and after the transfer to <br /> waste oil storage. <br /> All filter elements should be drained and ready for recycling with the carrier. <br /> All rags use to clean the lid, surrounding or funnel shall be stored in the oily rag bin for safe <br /> removal. <br /> When the waste oil drum is approximately% full notified support staff to have a waste oil <br /> properly disposed of. <br /> A waste oil company will be notified to come out and remove the oil from site. <br /> The shipping manifest shall be completed and signed prior to the release of the driver for <br /> transportation of material from this site. <br /> All receiving (shipping) documentation will be recorded and kept on file. <br />
