The following items were corrected on site: <br /> Item 1: OBSERVATION: A complete modified contingency plan was not posted at the facility. Operator filled out <br /> modified contingency plan and hung it up in his office. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business operator must post the following information next to telephones or in <br /> areas directly involved in the generation and accumulation of hazardous waste: the name and emergency <br /> telephone number of the emergency coordinator, the location of fire extinguishers and spill control material, and <br /> the telephone number of the fire department unless the facility has a direct alarm. <br /> Item 2: OBSERVATION: The following open hazardous waste storage containers were observed on-site: <br /> -Two 55 gallon container with used oil filters observed with an open lid. Operator secured lids on containers. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket with used oil filters observed with an open lid found in the basement of the shop. Operator <br /> transferred oil filters into 55 gallon container with used oil filters. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> Item 3: OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The <br /> containers were: <br /> -One 55 gallon container with used oil filters observed with no hazardous properties checked. Operator check <br /> marked hazardous properties checking "toxic." <br /> - One 55 gallon container with used oil filters observed with no hazardous waste label. Operator filled out <br /> hazardous waste label completely. <br /> -One 55 gallon container with used coolant observed with no hazardous waste label. Operator filled out <br /> hazardous waste label completely. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket used as a oil pan observed with no hazardous waste label.
