After review of the Department of Toxic
Substances Control's"Appendix A—Exempt Treatment Activities'and the California Health and Safety
Code,we believe we are exempt from the permit based on HSC§25201.13(c).
The treatment of the wastes from our ion exchange unit is the only such treatment conducted on our
facility. This treatment meets the conditions for exemption as set forth in paragraphs (A) and (B) of
HSC §25201.13(c). In addition, we fall under SIC code 2084 (Wines, brandy, and brandy spirits) as
required.
If any further information is required or if you have any questions, please contact Lou or myself at(209)
599-1111.
Respectf Ily,
1
Kevin D.
