Stockton Terminal Response statement to SJEHD letter of 16 March 2018 <br /> Violation # 117 Failed to submit a written response within 30 days of receiving an inspection report. <br /> An e-mail was sent to Stacey Rivera on 28 April 2017 with the return to compliance notification and an <br /> explanation of why additional testing could not be performed. (attached) <br /> Insufficient grinder metal was generated to sample for CAM 17 to make a California hazardous waste <br /> characterization. The Grinder was immediately removed from service and has been removed from the <br /> facility. No additional waste was generated. This waste stream in no longer and will no longer be <br /> generated. <br /> Disposed or caused disposal of hazardous waste at an unauthorized point. Violation#202. <br /> Initial response to this was submitted on 15 February 2016. <br /> Initial review of the SDS under section 15 Regulatory Information. Which shows the product to be non- <br /> hazardous under the listed standards. The initial reviewer missed section 12 Ecological Information <br /> which states Very toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects. <br /> The SDS was reviewed again and found to be hazardous. Employees have been instructed on the proper <br /> methods to dispose of hazardous waste and how to review SDS's to determine if a waste is hazardous. <br />
