Michael Griffin, store manager, stated <br /> that this item is purchased by the facility for store-use cleaning.When asked how empty bottles of store-use <br /> cleaners are managed, Michael stated the empty bottles are thrown in the trash. Michael placed the empty bottle on <br /> the ground adjacent a bag of trash near an exit that leads to the dumpster. (see photos IMG 4900-4903, 4924). <br /> -A bucket was found adjacent the mop sink near the HW storage area and contained the following (IMG <br /> 4904-4911): <br /> -An empty 41 fl.oz. container of Lysol Laundry Sanitizer 0% Bleach,for which the scanner did not indicate which <br /> HW tote the item should be placed in (IMG 4950-4951). <br /> -An empty 20 fl.oz. container of Palmolive Vinegar&Lemon Dish Liquid,for which the scanner did not indicate <br /> which HW tote the item should be placed in (IMG 4956-4957). <br /> -An empty 21.6 fl. oz. container of Gain Ultra Original dish soap,for which the scanner indicated the item to be <br /> placed in the Toxics(TX)HW tote(IMG 4952-4953). <br /> -An empty 33 fl.oz. container of Homeline Window&Glass Cleaner,for which the scanner indicated the item to <br /> be placed in the State Regulated (ST) HW tote(IMG 4954-4955). <br /> -An open 56 fl. oz. container, 1/3 full, of Dawn Ultra Antibacterial Hand Soap,for which the scanner indicated the <br /> item to be placed in the Flammables,Aerosols, &Combustibles(AF)HW tote(IMG 4959-4961). <br /> -A Partially filled container of Nyco All Purpose Degreaser(IMG 4906,4911). <br /> -A filled container of window cleaner(IMG 4906,4911). <br /> -The bottom of the bucket contained leakage of an unknown white/cream colored liquid (IMG 4906,4911). <br /> -An empty 1 qt. container of American XT Premium Sae 1 OW-30 Synthetic Blend Motor Oil,which according to <br /> Michael is an item sold by the facility,was found in a pile of trash on the ground adjacent the facility's dumpster.At <br /> the time of inspection,the facility's dumpsters were accessible to the public.According to Michael, he has made <br /> several attempts since December 2018 to have the fence repaired, in order to prevent the public from dumping their <br /> trash into the facility's dumpsters, but to no avail (IMG 4927-4929). Michael removed the empty motor oil container <br /> from the dumpster area and placed in adjacent the hazardous waste storage area of the facility. <br /> Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. <br /> Immediately stop the disposal of empty chemical containers, make a hazardous waste determination for all potential <br /> hazardous waste, and manage it according the Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. <br /> Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste was managed. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> FA0024561 PR0544185 SCO01 03/20/2019 <br /> EHD 22-01 Rev.09/22/16 Page 4 of 14 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br />
