If you or your business generates more than 100 kg of RCRA hazardous <br />waste and/or more than one kg of acutely hazardous waste, then you need to obtain an EPA ID number. All others <br />must obtain a State ID number. Go to the DTSC web site <br />https://dtsc.ca.gov/apply-for-hazardous-waste-epa-id-number/ for the form to apply for an ID number. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately obtain an ID number to manage hazardous waste and submit evidence to the <br />EHD. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />102 <br />CCR 66262.11 Failed to determine if a waste is a hazardous waste. <br />OBSERVATIONS: According to Fernando Jimenez, owner, sanding dust is thrown away into trash and shop rags are <br />washed at home. <br />REGULATIONS: Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately <br />make a hazardous waste determination for the sanding waste and contaminated rags, and manage according to Title <br />22 hazardous waste regulations. <br />Rags contaminated with hazardous waste must be laundered by an industrial laundry or handled as hazardous waste <br />or a hazardous waste determination must be made to demonstrate the rags are not hazardous waste. <br />CORRECTIVE ACTION: Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how these wastes will be <br />managed. Provide hazardous waste determination information for the wastes that are deemed non -hazardous. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />110 <br />CCR 66262.40(a) Failed to keep signed copy of manifests from the designated facility for three years. <br />OBSERVATIONS: Copies of uniform manifests for the disposal of hazardous waste including acetone waste for July <br />19, 2016 to July 19, 2019 were not found on site. <br />REGULATION: Hazardous waste generators shall retain copies of all manifests signed off by the disposal facility and <br />all receipts used in a consolidated manifesting procedure on site for three years and have them readily available for <br />review. <br />CORRECTION ACTION: Immediately locate a copy of all hazardous waste manifests and receipts for the last three <br />years, maintain them on site, and submit copies to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />FA0025404 PR0544697 SCO01 07/19/2019 <br />EHD 22-01 Rev. 09/27/2018 Page 4 of 6 Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator OIR <br />1868 E.
