Weber Avenue
Stockton, California 95202
Dear Mr. Catanyag,
RE: Follow-up Report California OES Control#05-6144
BP West Coast Products LLC - Stockton Terminal, located at 2700 West Washington Street in
Stockton, California, is providing the following Section 304 Report as follow-up to a product
release that was discovered on 10/24/2005. On this day at 7:20 am, the Technician on duty
discovered that approximately 1362 gallons of gasoline additive was released from an injection
skid system due to faulty pressure gauge. This product release occurred intermittently when the
additive system was activated during gasoline truck loading. The release from the additive skid
was contained within a secondary containment system. No soil or waterways were impacted.
Weather conditions were clear and dry.
Dillard Environmental was contracted and responded immediately to pump the additive out of
secondary containment into their truck and shipped it offsite as hazardous waste. This hazardous
waste is being managed for disposal according to applicable state and federal waste regulations.
The faulty pressure gauge on the additive system was removed and replaced with plug until
proper replacement gauge can be selected.
Immediate notifications were made to local and state agencies. No fire, injuries or deaths
occurred as a result of this event.
If you should have any questions or need additional information please feel free to contact me at
(209)466-4407 or Ms. Debra Portello,HSSE Advisor,at(510)231-4704
Sincerely,
*LMurdo"ck14
Terminal Manager
BP US Logistics
Cc: Terminal Files
