We are planning
to compost 100% of the manure.
A. The manure from these units will be removed each day directly to a spreading
machine and brought directly to the composting house for processing
B. We also have a lagoon/storage pond. 438' x 288' x 30' for liquid chicken manure.
The lagoon helps avoid breeding of flies.
C. If SKS is contacted about hauling manure offsite; we will contact the EHD before
making any agreements to spread.
House # 7 & 8— This facility has a manure belt system as well. The manure is brought
to the spread truck directly and the same procedure as above is taken.
Unit# 6 - This is a high-rise facility where the manure is cleaned every six months. This
manure goes to the drying pad.
Woody Houses 1-5 are cleaned daily with a cleaning machine. The manure is then
brought out and dumped into a manure pit.
