Dear Brendan,
I hope you're doing well and staying healthy. I want to thank you for your guidance and help with
understanding the Water Code section 13260. I've have attached the response letter by San Francisco
Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) that addresses the Notice of Violation issued by the Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board. The enclosures associated with the response letter will be
uploaded to ShareFile (SFPUC's version of Dropbox) and you will receive a ShareFile invitation via email
to download the files.A hard copy of the letter and enclosures will be sent to you and Garrett Backus of
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. The purpose of the response letter is to
summarize relevant background information, and describe response actions implemented by SFPUC. In
collaboration with our consultants, SFPUC have concluded that the discharge of the lamp break water to
the grit pond, is appropriate from a technical and regulatory perspective.
For the monthly update emails, SFPUC will discontinue them following the delivery of this letter. Please
feel free to email me or call me at (650) 732-0725 should you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Jowin Jung
Regulatory Specialist
Water Supply and Treatment Division
San Francisco Public Utilities Commission
1000 El Camino Real, Millbrae, CA 94030
Mobile (650) 732-0725
San Francisco
uZ"S%N;a,) 1atar Powe r ewe r
Services of the San Francisco Pub Ile Ut]Iltles Comrnissm
3
