(ATC N-811 =26-3).
District ATC Description Limits
MAPCO scrubber system abating
NA43241 0 emissions from an aluminum NOx 52. 8 lbs/day
!
coating line
Dear Lisa:
BEST ENVIRONMENTAL (BE) proposes the following methodology to perform the compliance test program referenced above.
• Moisture, volumetric flow rate and molecular weight will be determined using EPA/CARB Methods 1 , 2, 3 and 4 in
conjunction with the testing. Ambient methods/factors will be used for moisture, molecular weight and 02/CO2 concentrations
determinations.
• Triplicate 30•minute test runs will be performed for NOx at the outlet using EPA Method 7E at normal operating conditions.
• Capture efficiency compliance will be determined during the test series using EPA Method 204 . Manometer reading will be
taken at any doors or natural draft openings.
All relevant process and operating parameters will be provided by the facility following the testing.
• The technical report will be submitted to MFSI within four weeks of completion of the field sampling. The report will include
a test program description and tables presenting concentrations (ppm) , emission rates (lbs/hr) and removal efficiencies for all
relevant parameters. All supporting documentation (Chain of Custody, field data sheets, calculation sheets and calibration
records) will be attached in the appendix of the report.
Pending your approval, the test program is scheduled for August 6, 2020 with an approximate testing start time of 9 :00 am. Mr.
Cory Dehl from MFSI is coordinating the testing and he can be reached at (925) 872- 1263 .
