This permit may be reopened and effluent limits may <br /> be established for those constituents . If this permit is reopened and new and/or more <br /> stringent effluent limits imposed , a phase -in period may be allowed for existing discharges , <br /> if needed , to allow for adjustment of treatment processes . This will be determined on a <br /> case- by- case basis . <br /> 14 . Self- Monitoring Sampling Requirements : <br /> a . Permittee is required to self- monitor wastewater generated on site for pollutants <br /> specified by the City of Stockton in this permit . <br /> b . Permittee shall monitor the final effluent wastewater discharge flow to the sanitary <br /> sewer on a continuous basis using a digital totalizing meter and separate recorder <br /> with 24- hour or 7- day circular chart , unless otherwise specified in this permit . <br /> c . Permittee shall monitor the final effluent wastewater discharge pH to the sanitary <br /> sewer on a continuous basis using a digital meter with 2 - point calibration capability <br /> and separate recorder with 24- hour or 7-day circular chart, unless otherwise <br /> specified in this permit . An audible alarm and automatic shut-off system for high <br /> and low pH occurrences is required . <br /> d . Permittee shall monitor the final effluent wastewater discharge temperature to the <br /> sanitary sewer on a continuous basis using a digital meter and separate recorder <br /> with 24- hour or 7-day circular chart, if temperature monitoring is specified in this <br /> permit . <br /> e . Permittee shall monitor the final effluent wastewater lower explosive limit ( LEL ) to <br /> the sanitary sewer on a continuous basis using a digital meter and separate <br /> recorder with 24- hour or 7 -day circular chart , if LEL monitoring is specified in this <br /> permit . <br /> f . Permittee shall monitor the final effluent wastewater discharge to the sanitary <br /> sewer on a continuous basis using a refrigerated , flow- based , 24- hour composite <br /> sampler , unless otherwise specified in this permit . <br /> g . Sampling procedures and handling must be approved by the City of Stockton and <br /> the laboratory utilized must be certified by the California State Water Resources <br />
