Use Safety Data Sheets (SDS), waste sampling and test results or other knowledge to support
your hazardous waste determination. Waste testing must be done using methods specified in Title 22 CCR including
sections 66261.20-24.
Submit a statement and supporting documentation with your hazardous waste determination. Demonstrate current
storage and labeling for wastes determined to be hazardous wastes. Facility operations generate hazardous waste fuel and used oil filters. A number of hazardous
waste requirements were out of compliance which suggests basic hazardous waste management training has not been
completed.
REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper
waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and
emergencies.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train the employees.
