All pharmaceutical wastes, including <br /> Warfarin, are placed in the pharmaceutical waste container with no distinction being made to separate Resource <br /> Conservation and Recovery Act(RCRA)hazardous waste from other pharmaceutical wastes. <br /> REGULATION: The disposal of any hazardous waste, or the causing thereof, is prohibited when the disposal is at a <br /> facility which does not have a permit from the department issued pursuant to this chapter, or at any point which is not <br /> authorized according to this chapter. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately stop discarding empty Warfarin blister packing,which is RCRA hazardous <br /> waste, in the trash. Immediately stop disposing of waste Warfarin tablets and all other RCRA hazardous waste as <br /> pharmaceutical waste. Submit a statement and supporting documentation explaining how this waste will be managed <br /> in the future. <br /> This is a Class I violation. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> An inspection checklist was provided to the facility operator on the day of inspection.
