'6
i
JAN 2'2 1993
January 20, 1993
i®0MMUN1 I i ur v,,-. ,
PLANNING DIVISIr"
San Joaquin County Planning Division,
1810 East Hazelton Ave. ,
Stockton, CA 95205
Application Number: SA-92-0073
Dear Richard Larrouy,
I'am a property owner of approximately three, fifty acre parcels located to
the west of Henry Road.
Prior to acquiring the property it was my understanding after talking the
the County that there was a minute possibility of the chicken ranch becoming
occupied. It seems that the equipment had become obsolete, the P.G.&E. power
was removed and that there was oil contamination and waste on the property
site. It would also require a use permit.
Some of the adjacent properties have and some in process, of obtaining
building permits. From my understanding these homes will be approx. 3000
sq. ft. plus. I would think that the gentlemen purchasing the Klienfeld Farm
would take deep consideration to this fact. I'am sure that there would be
numerous complaints regarding fly and odor problems which we know can not be
solved.
There is natural drainage through these parcels which come from the Hawley,
Naraghi and Klienfeld Ranches. I understand that there are gate valves
within these ponds which could feed waste into the drainage flow through
several properties which eventually flow through creeks and into the Delta.
Dairy and cattle can somewhat be controlled, but if you have ever lived within
a radius of a chicken farm, well its's undescribable. Our property will
depreciate in price. We already have turkey breeding facilities within a close
proximity to this project. Please do not over burden our area with another
facility.
I would think that there would be considerable disease that could spread
amongst the birds. I do not 'know this for fact, but have been told this is a
real potential problem.
Please take this letter into consideration prior to making your committment.
SIncerely,
