9-20-2018
141 E Harney Lane
List of Outstanding Issues:
1) Please provide installer/contractor information (on your application form) and submit all
relevant installer/tester certifications
2) Provide fire permit number(on your permit application form)
3) Provide a copy of the ELD workplan
4) Provide cut sheets for all proposed parts on your pats list, for example tank cut sheets are still
needed- tank installation instructions were provided in lieu of the tank cut sheets
5) Clarify which leak detector will be used and provide its cut sheet. FE Petro cut sheet was not
provided and FE Petro was listed on the application, however, Veeder Root PLLD was listed your
the parts list
6) Application lists 42"sumps, however parts list lists 42"and 48"sumps, please clarify
7) Please clarify if chase lines will be installed between fill and STP sumps and if these lines will be
VPH monitored, please provide revised sheets to demonstrate this. For example G.0.1 shows
chase pipe on 87 UST but G.1.0 doesn't show that pipe. Also the general pipe layout is different
between these sheets and on G.1.0, vent pipe to 12K tank ends abruptly before the sump.
8) G.0.1 table lists some values as Vvalue!"please clarify
9) Ensure that all liquid sensors are installed at the lowest points, for example on G.4.0 the 208
sensor is not shown at the lowest point. On G.6.0 (vent sump detail), no Veeder Root 208 sump
sensor bottom is visible due to the proposed sensor sleeve set up.
10) Please clarify how VPH piping communication will be tested, no apparent ports of valves or
provisions to test communication on a routine basis were observed. Also on G.5.0, "end view"a
hose is exiting the secondary containment penetration and terminates without leading
anywhere, please correct and resubmit. No communication test port is visible on G.6.0 vent sump
drawing, please clarify if communication test port will be installed on the vent piping termination
inside the vent sump. Vacuum and brine monitoring provisions must be illustrated on UDC, vent
and tank sump cross-sections
11) Bravo sumps are listed on the parts list, however, page 8 of 8 of the permit application lists OPW
Flex Works, please clarify.
12) Please clarify if Veeder Root 350 or 350 Plus will be used, it appears to be used intermittently on
the plans.
13) On page G.7.1 a single point annular sensor is being proposed(instead of the dual high and low
sensor), please revise and resubmit. Also on the same G.7.1 only one FE Petro leak detector is
being listed, clarify which leak detectors will be installed on 87/91 tanks, revise the parts list to
reflect the correct system inventory
14) Please point out the spill containers and their water-tight VPH shields on the parts list and their
reference number on drawings, please provide drawing reference where water tight construction
is detailed or provide a revised drawing illustrating the water tight construction of all sumps.
15) Confirm that the UDC foot print will match the dispensers foot print and all piping and filters will
drain directly into respective UDC without any retrofit modifications, please provide a reference
to that effect on your plans
