The work was <br /> completed with the intent to obtain soil and groundwater samples from the <br /> capillary fringe to determine if groundwater is contaminated with diesel range <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons. <br /> Work Completed <br /> Preliminary Work <br /> A San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJC-PHS-EHD) Permit was obtained to install the soil boring (attached). <br /> Underground Service alert and SJC-PHS were notified 48 hours prior to <br /> initiation of field work. <br /> Drilling <br /> Using a Geo-Probe drilling rig owned and operated by V & W Drilling (C-57 <br /> #720904) of Rio Vista CA, 1 soil boring was advanced to a depth of 35 feet. All <br /> soil sampling equipment was decontaminated between uses by washing using a <br /> three bucket wash system and lab grade detergent. Upon completion of the soil <br /> boring, the boring was backfilled with neat cement.
