Along with your submittal of the revised PEA Report, include a table that cross- <br /> references your response to each DTSC comment included herein. <br /> 3. Incorporate the attached DTSC Human and Ecological Risk Division (HERD) comments <br /> in the revised PEA Report. <br /> 4. Section 3.3.3, page 3-3 <br /> The last sentence in this section is incomplete. Either delete this partial sentence or <br /> include the missing information. <br /> 5. Section 6.1, page 6-2 <br /> The first paragraph on this page indicates that a photoionization detector(PID)was used <br /> for field screening purposes during the soil sampling activities. This paragraph should also <br /> state where the readings can be found in the PEA Report (ie, Appendix A), and the PEA <br /> report should be revised to include these readings if previously omitted. <br /> 6. Section 6.3.5, page 6-5 <br /> Clarify the following statement, in the first paragraph, "None of the detected VOC <br /> concentrations were considered high enough to warrant pursuing deeper sampling", by <br /> stating what screening or maximum level was considered acceptable for VOC <br /> concentrations at this site. <br /> 7. Section 13.1, page 13-1 <br /> The fourth bullet and last paragraph on this page state that lead and asbestos-containing <br /> materials (ACM) are the only recognized environmental conditions on the subject site that <br /> were not addressed in the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment or PEA. Rather, the <br /> PEA should document that the on-site structure has an adjacent concrete foundation and <br /> is not adjacent to exposed soil, and that the four surface (0.5 to 1.0 foot) soil samples <br /> identified as SG-10, SG-14, SG-15 and SG-23, were taken beyond the concrete and found <br /> Lockeford Elementary School, Lodi Unified School District, Draft PEA Comments <br />
