Operator corrected on site by transferring used oil into 55 <br /> gallon drum with used oil and wiping bucket with rags, disposing of rags into 55 gallon drum with waste solids. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE:A container holding hazardous waste shall always be closed during transfer and <br /> storage, except when it is necessary to add or remove waste. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed <br /> when not adding or removing waste. Provide a corrective action statement and supporting documentation to the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department within 30 days. <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br /> OBSERVATION: Hazardous waste containers were observed on-site with incomplete labeling. The containers <br /> were: <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with used oil observed no hazardous properties. <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with waste antifreeze observed with no hazardous waste label. <br /> -One 55 gallon drum with waste solids observed with no accumulation start date. <br /> -One 5 gallon bucket with used oil observed with no hazardous waste label. Operator corrected on site by <br /> transferring used oil into 55 gallon drum with used oil and wiping bucket with rags,disposing of rags into 55 gallon <br /> drum with waste solids. Bucket was placed back with other empty buckets. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: the <br /> words"Hazardous Waste", name and address of generator, hazardous properties, physical state, composition <br /> (contents), accumulation start date <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately label the containers as required for hazardous waste.
