RIGHT-TO-FARM NOTICE <br /> On June 22, 2004, the San Joaquin County Board of Supervisors approved revisions to the Right-to-Farm Ordinance. Section 6- <br /> 9004 (c)of the Right-to-Farm Ordinance requires that all applicants for building permits for new residential construction or mobile <br /> home placement be provided with the following Right-to-Farm Notice. <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY RIGHT-TO-FARM NOTICE(Section 6-9004(3)) <br /> The County of San Joaquin recognizes and supports the right to farm agricultural lands in a manner consistent with accepted <br /> customs, practices, and standards. Residents of property on or near agricultural land should be prepared to accept the <br /> inconveniences or discomforts associated with agricultural operations or activities, including but not limited to noise, odors, <br /> insects,fumes, dust, the operation of machinery of any kind during any twenty-four(24) hour period (including aircraft), the <br /> application by spraying or otherwise of chemical fertilizers, soil amendments, seeds, herbicides, and pesticides, the storage of <br /> livestock feed and other agricultural commodities and the storage, application and disposal of manure. San Joaquin County has <br /> determined that inconveniences or discomforts associated with such agricultural operations or activities shall not be considered to <br /> be a nuisance. San Joaquin County has established a grievance committee to assist in the resolution of any disputes which might <br /> arise between residents of this County regarding agricultural operations or activities. If you have questions concerning this policy <br /> or the grievance committee please contact the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner at(209)468-3300. <br /> SENATE BILL 1815 <br /> SENATE BILL 1815(Chapter 144 of the 2004 statutes) has passed and amends section 17951 within the portion of the Health <br /> and Safety Code known as the State Housing Law. On and after January 1, 2005, when a city or county building department fails <br /> to conduct inspections within 60 days of receiving notice of the completion of work performed under a permit for which fees were <br /> collected, the Permittee shall be entitled to reimbursement of the permit fees. An advisement of the permittee's right to <br /> reimbursement shall be printed on issued permits or an accompanying document., - <br /> REINSPECTION FEES <br /> Section 8-101(b)of the Ordinance code of San Joaquin County reinspection fees may be assessed. A permit holder may b <br /> charged a fee for any inspection after the first reinspection. Typical examples woul <br /> inspection is called is not complete or when corrections called for are not made. <br /> If you have questions about this requirement, contact your inspector. <br /> EXPIRATION INFORMATION <br /> Every permit issued by the Building Officla` bn oim <br /> the building or work authorized by such permit is not commenced within 180 days from the date of such permit, or if the building or , <br /> work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of 180 days. . <br /> Work shall be considered abandoned if an inspection has not been approved and recorded within 180 days. <br /> INSPECTION INFORMATION <br /> The San Joaquin County Building Inspection Division has installed an automatic recording device to receive inspection requests. <br /> This service will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Calls will be taken off the recorder at 3:00 p.m.every workday <br /> and distributed for inspection the following workday. <br /> To request an inspection, please call (209)468-3165. You will be requested to provide the following information: <br /> 1. Permit Number(Mandatory) <br /> 2. Your Name <br /> 3. Job Site Address and Nearest Cross Street <br /> 4. Telephone Number <br /> 5. Day Inspection Preferred <br /> 6.
