Koster Rd, Tracy
APN 255-310-40 & 255-310-19, SR0082465
The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (EHD) has reviewed the Soil
Suitability/Nitrate Loading (SSNL) Study, dated August 11, 2019 and submitted on August 13, 2019
for the above noted location and has the following comments for your consideration.
The SSNL was prepared to determine the suitability of the above noted parcel for onsite wastewater
treatment system (OWTS) usage and the potential long term-impact of nitrate to groundwater for the
proposed project development. The proposed development project includes:
1. Delta Charter Elementary School with OWTS wastewater usage of 4,032 gallons per school
day resulting from 420 students, 22 teacher and 10 administration staff.
Based on the information provided the EHD can make the following findings:
1. Based on the information provided, the EHD finds that the SSNL Study supports the suitability
for standard OWTS usage for future development on the proposed parcels, pursuant to San
Joaquin County Ordinance Code Title 9, Section 9-1105.2(d), provided the existing and
proposed OWTS and 100% replacement areas can meet all required minimum setbacks from
any water wells.
2. Domestic water well located on parcel APN 255-310-19 shall be destroyed under EHD permit
and inspection prior to issuance of building permit.
If you have any questions please contact Naseem Ahmed, Registered Environmental Health
Specialist, REHS, at nahmed@sjgov.org or (209) 468-3436.
Michael Kith, REHS
Program Coordinator
C: Chesney Consulting
1868 E.
