SAN J 0 A QU I N Environmental Health Department <br /> ---COUNTY--- <br /> Small Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br /> Facility Name: Facility Address: Date: <br /> Ross Dress For Less#0826 10864 Trinity Pkwy, Stockton September 14, 2020 <br /> SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br /> (CLASS I,CLASS II,or MINOR-Notice to Comply) <br /> Item# Remarks <br /> 106 CCR 66262.34(d)(2) Failed to train employees on waste handling and emergency procedures. <br /> OBSERVATION: At the time of inspection, it could not be demonstrated(not necessarily documented)that <br /> employees who handle hazardous waste were properly trained, based on the following observations: <br /> 1.An aerosol can of sunscreen and a bottle of flammable Wish Advanced Hand Sanitizer containing 75%ethyl <br /> alcohol were found in a Toxic Non RCRA Hazardous Waste container.According to the'Too Toxic to Trash" <br /> guidance sheet posted in the hazardous waste storage area, aerosols, flammables, items containing alcohol are to <br /> be placed in the Aerosol, Flammables Hazardous Waste container. Petina Brandenburg, Store Manager, <br /> transferred the aerosol can and hand sanitizer to the Aerosol, Flammables Hazardous Waste container at the time <br /> of inspection. <br /> 2. A blue hazardous waste drum containing and labeled as Toxic Non RCRA Hazardous Waste was found with its <br /> lid not properly closed and secured to the drum at the time of inspection. Petina properly closed the hazardous <br /> waste drum at the time of inspection. <br /> REGULATION GUIDANCE: The business owner must ensure that all employees are thoroughly familiar with proper <br /> waste handling and emergency procedures, relevant to their responsibilities during normal facility operations and <br /> emergencies. <br /> CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediately train or re-train the employees.
