1. Activate the system by pulling the lever on the wall. This will sound the <br /> alarm to evacuate the building. In most cases, it will also be necessary to <br /> alert employees verbally as some may not hear the alarm due to their <br /> proximity to the alarm. <br /> 2. When calling the Fire or Police Department dial 9-9-9-9 and provide <br /> them with the following information: <br /> a. Tell them you have a FIRE OR OTHER TYPE OF <br /> EMERGENCY <br /> b. Give the location of: <br /> ADESA Golden Gate <br /> 18501 W Stanford Road <br /> Tracy, CA <br /> (Cross street Mountain House Parkway) <br /> c. Identify the location of the building by Name and Alphabet. <br /> (Main Auction Building -A, Check-in/Security Building - <br /> etc.)If the emergency is on the open lot, have Security to escort <br /> the emergency units to the site. <br /> d. Let them know that an employee will meet them for further <br /> directions. <br /> e. Let Security know that an emergency exists, where and what it <br /> is, and that the emergency responders are on their way. <br /> Security will provide a pilot vehicle to escort the emergency <br /> equipment to the emergency site. <br /> f. Call the Receptionists and let them know that there is an <br /> emergency situation and what it is. <br /> g. EXIT the Building or Facility, if required, and go to assigned <br /> refuge area. <br /> WHEN TALKING TO THE EMERGENCY CONTROL CENTER DO <br /> NOT HANG UP UNTIL THE OTHER PERSON HANGS UP. YOU <br /> HANG UP LAST <br /> Wild Fire <br /> in the event of a Wild Fire emergency the employees in the building closest to <br /> the fire will be evacuated to a safe refuge in one of the other buildings where the <br /> fire danger is less threatening. Only if the entire facility of ADESA Golden Gate is <br /> threatened will the entire facility be evacuated. <br /> 9 <br />
