In general, LAWTF employees and contractors will notify 9-1-1 and sound the alarm
before attempting to respond to a release.
3. Employees are discouraged from taking actions. Large quantity releases will be reported
promptly to 9-1-1, entering an affected area is not a required duty of employees.
4. Employees are not required to enter into harm's way to respond to a release, but are
required to implement emergency procedures and notify 9-1-1 immediately.
5. If the release is in beginning stages and the employee feels that he can safely stop flow,
the following simple procedure should be used:
a. Cut off the flow
b.
